Authentic, local, charming, rustic. This is what we experienced here. We decided to go “full local” with house wines by the pitcher and the simplest of local fare. All was tasty but not exceptional. The interior is from days gone by which makes it stand out, and they catered very well to children. There are / were 3 restaurants in the square, and this seems to the the grandfather of the lot. But it was good and is a worthy choice.

Great and tasty place! We asked a local for a recommendation for a good place to eat authentic food, and this was definitely it! The service was good, they don't really speak English but we understood each other just fine, the food was tasty and interesting, yet it felt very traditional and home made, and the desert and house wine were amazing!

A delightful restaurant for authentic bergamasco fare…home style cooking in an elegant setting. Excellent service

Delightful restaurant with homemade Bergamasco dishes and super friendly owner. Alfresco dining on an pen square with views of the hills in the background. Couple of starters and a main course shared between 2 people did the trick. House red wine very good. Only comment is avoid the "cheese dish" as for €11 EUR its a bit expensive, otherwise highly recommended.

This is the place that you can miss if you visit Bergamo alta, the ambiance, the food and the service are excellent. All typical Bergamaschi dishes… polenta taragna, coniglio, brasato, baccalà mantecato… One word to sum up Amazing

Amazing restaurant in a special location in Bergamo’s upper town. Great for traditional food and wine (house wine recommended). Service is up to expectations too and really good value for money. Will definitely come back.
